Astoria Welfare Society distributed winter clothing to migrants and asylum seekers. This winter clothing was distributed among more than 300 people at 30th Street of 36th Avenue in Astoria on Sunday afternoon. The speakers said that among the migrants and asylum seekers, it is everyone’s responsibility to stand beside those who are unemployed and in financial crisis. Especially in this winter they are suffering a lot due to lack of warm clothes. The speakers called upon everyone to come forward to fight the cold.
